• Owasco Lake and the other Finger Lakes were formed by the carving of the glaciers during the last ice age.

• The lake is approximately 10 miles long, 1 mile wide, and 177 feet deep in the center.

• Water temperature varies from 60's in May to 80's by August. Much warmer than other upstate NY lakes because of the smaller size and depth.

• Nice gradual walk into the water from the shore-great for kids!

• Excellent fishing! Abundant walleye, perch and other panfish, bass, trout, and northern pike.

• No limit on boat size or engines.

• Little boat traffic in comparison with other Finger Lakes. Great for kayaks, canoes , and waterskiing.

• 2 public launches-one within 3 miles of our houses. Remember, all of the houses have nice docks or a mooring to keep your boat at!

• Restaurant on the water at the south end you can get to by boat and dine inside or outside-live entertainment.
